Roles and duties
Secretary (Sekreterare)
Administrator in the team. Typically handles formal information, invitations, and documentation. Has full permissions in the app.
Team lead (Jaktledare)
Administrator in the team and leader of the hunt. In the app, the team lead is also the person responsible for a specific hunt event.
Tracking service provider / Eftersökare
Person (often with a specialised dog) who tracks and humanely dispatches injured or struck-by-vehicle game.
Dog handler (Hundförare)
Member who brings a dog on the hunt, for example a driving dog or a flushing dog.
Landowner (Markägare)
The person who owns the land where the hunt takes place. Often needed in the contact list even if they don't hunt themselves.
Protection hunter (Skyddsjägare)
Person who performs protective hunting on behalf of a landowner or authority.
Hunt types
Group hunt (Gruppjakt)
Organised hunt with several participants. Typically a drive hunt for moose or wild boar. Only administrators can create group hunts in the calendar.
Individual hunt (Enskild jakt)
Hunt where a single member goes out alone, e.g., still-hunting or stalking. All members can create individual hunts.
Protective hunt (Skyddsjakt)
Hunt outside the regular season, often to protect crops or reduce nuisance animals. Requires a permit from the County Administrative Board.
Work day (Arbetsdag)
Team day for maintaining hunting grounds, towers, feeding places, and so on, without hunting.
Places and equipment
Pass (Pass)
Spot where a hunter stands (or sits) and waits for game during a group hunt.
Tower (Torn)
Elevated hunting position, often built next to a bait or feeding station. The map has its own marker type for towers.
Feeding place (Foderplats)
Spot where the team puts out feed to attract game. Has its own map marker type.
Salt lick (Saltsten)
Mineral block placed out to attract game. Has its own marker type on the map.
Trail camera (Viltkamera)
Camera in the field that takes photos when it senses motion. In Jaktli it can be linked to a map marker so the latest photo appears on the map.
Burrow (Gryt)
Underground den for fox or badger. Can be marked on the map.
