Weather
Here you'll learn where in the app to find weather information and how to read the forecast for your team's area.
Which area does the forecast cover?
The forecast is based on the centre point of all markers and areas your team has placed on the map. If the team only has markers in one part of the forest, the forecast comes from exactly that area.
No forecast yet?
Add at least one marker or area on the map so the app knows where the team operates.
Where do I see the weather?
Weather appears in several places in the app:
- Home screen: a small weather chip in the top-right of the hero banner shows the current temperature. Tap it to open the weather screen.
- Home grid: the Weather tile opens the same screen.
- Calendar: seven days ahead, weather icons appear directly on the day cells.
- Map: wind speed and direction are shown as a layer on the map.
Read the forecast
The forecast covers seven days ahead with:
- High and low temperature
- A description of the weather (e.g., "cloudy with showers")
- Precipitation and wind
- A weather icon per day
Tap a day to expand it and see more in 2-hour blocks:
- Wind speed, gusts, and direction
- Visibility (useful in fog)
- Precipitation amount and probability
- Temperature, humidity, and cloud cover
Pull down on the screen to fetch fresh numbers.
TIP
The wind direction arrow shows where the wind comes from, not where it's blowing to. A south-westerly wind means the wind comes from the south-west.
